VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a key role in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will need to display drive, positive attitude, character, and energy. You will need to be passionate about our customers and products, always acting with integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing Vehicle Issues: Perform detailed inspections and diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify problems and determine necessary repairs.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs: Perform high-quality servicing, maintenance, and repairs, including MOT failure rectifications. Including oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
  • Technical Support and Advice: Provide technical advice for customers regarding vehicle maintenance, repairs, and any necessary upgrades or replacements.
  • Using Diagnostic Tools and Equipment: Operate advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues accurately.
  • Repairing or Replacing Faulty Parts: Replace worn or damaged components such as brakes, suspension systems, engines, electrical systems, and more.
  • Maintaining Accurate Records: Keep clear and detailed records of all repairs, maintenance, and parts replaced.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all repairs meet quality and industry standards.
  • Collaboration with Team Members: Work closely with other technicians, service advisors Parts and Warranty departments to ensure efficient workflow.

Key Skills & Qualifications required:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a workshop.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality work.
  • MOT Tester certification (Class 4) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Contract type:         Full-time permanent position

Work location:        In person

Hours:                      Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:30. Saturday 08:30 – 17:30 (repeats 1 in 4)

Annual salary:         Dependant on experience

Bonus:                     Bonus opportunity available

Overtime:               Overtime available to suit the department needs
