VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a key role in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosing Vehicle Issues: Perform detailed inspections and diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify problems and determine necessary repairs.

Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs: Perform high-quality servicing, maintenance, and repairs, including MOT failure rectifications. Including oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, fluid checks, and filter replacements.

Technical Support and Advice: Provide technical advice for customers regarding vehicle maintenance, repairs, and any necessary upgrades or replacements.

Using Diagnostic Tools and Equipment: Operate advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues accurately.

Repairing or Replacing Faulty Parts: Replace worn or damaged components such as brakes, suspension systems, engines, electrical systems, and more.

Maintaining Accurate Records: Keep clear and detailed records of all repairs, maintenance, and parts replaced.

Safety and Quality Assurance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all repairs meet quality and industry standards.

Collaboration with Team Members: Work closely with other technicians, service advisors Parts and Warranty departments to ensure efficient workflow.
Key Skills & Qualifications required:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a workshop.

Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality work.

MOT Tester certification (Class 4) is advantageous but not essential.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Contract type: Full-time permanent position
Work location: In person
Hours: Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:30. Saturday 08:30 – 17:30 (repeats 1 in 4)
Annual salary: Dependant on experience
Bonus: Bonus opportunity available
Overtime: Overtime available to suit the department needs
